Dr Adriana Martinez has been a Consultant Gastrointestinal Pathologist at St Mark’s Hospital since 2007. She was the Clinical Lead for Histopathology from 2022 to 2025. She has vast experience in upper and lower GI tract endoscopy sample reporting, particularly inflammatory bowel disease and polypectomy samples. She reports all types of small and large intestinal resection specimens, including pouch resections and advanced complex cancer resections. She provides expert opinion reviews for St Mark’s referrals.

She actively participates in research at St Mark’s and the St Mark’s Histopathology Course, with a histopathology trainee and consultants developing an interest in Gastrointestinal Pathology target audience. Dr Martinez is fully committed to providing a top class, clinically relevant histopathology service to St Mark’s Hospital.
